It may seem like yesterday that the McLaren P1 was unveiled to the world but only a couple of weeks back, the final production car rolled out from the factory lines, signalling the end of this great hybrid hypercar. But that does not mean that McLaren is done playing with the P1 as we are now receiving the first images of what is called as the ‘Carbon Series’.

The P1 is probably the next best thing to have come from McLaren after their hugely successful F1 that had dominated both the roads and the track since its debut in 1992. The P1 features a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that delivers 727BHP and 531 lb-ft of torque, assisted by an electric motor that produces 176BHP and 192 lb-ft of torque.

With a combined output of 903BHP and 722 lb-ft of torque, zerotohundred takes only 2.8 seconds, 0-200 in 6.8 and 0-300 16.5 seconds. The P1 is capable of reaching a top speed of 395km/h, but it is electronically limited at 350km/h.
