It seems too harsh to be true that the legendary Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution had bid goodbye to the auto enthusiast, and Mitsubishi had yet to line up a successor to fill in the gaps. While the loss is definitely felt, the guys over at 311RS had gathered together and gave the Evolution X a fresh breath of life before they are no longer to be found.
After making a name for themselves through creations like the 311RS Evo X, they are now back with something new called the 311RS Spec Blew which was previewed at the Twin Cities Auto Show. Yes, this is not exactly an official model from Mitsubishi, but these guys know what they are doing and while this is just a quick preview of their new work, it does look promising.
Starting with a bone-stock Evo X, they had stuffed it with tantalizing parts like JRZ suspension, RAYS wheels, a serious reduction in weight via the use of carbon fiber and adding dashes of Alcantara for the interior. This is also not an all-show-but-no-go car as the turbocharged four-banger now pushes out a healthy 500 horses for the driver to tame!
