Sharing the same DNA as its predecessor, Suzuki Malaysia Automobile (SMA) today had introduced their new Swift RS to the Malaysia market. Packing a 1.4-liter engine under the hood, the Swift RS sports compact now gets an updated look and packing a number of technological enhancements.
“In line with Suzuki brand philosophy of delivering excitement, the Swift RS brings stand-out style to Malaysian streets and appeals to youthful drivers wishing to reflect their vibrant personality in their car’s appearance,” said the Managing Director of Suzuki Malaysia Automobile Sdn Bhd, Mr. Keiichi Suzuki.
Catching our eyes at the first glance was the new styling features which include a black and red gradient rooftop, side body decal, some red lining on the body kit with an additional rear spoiler, LED Day-Running Lights, 16-inch ‘gun metallic’ aluminium alloy wheels and the RS emblem.
Over to the interior, the Swift RS is bathed in black and red leather seats and red stripe side-door trims. This latest variant is also fitted with a 2-Din touch-screen audio system with reverse camera, Bluetooth system with microphone, and True Mirroring with Smart Phone.
The 1.4-liter engine churns out 94-horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 130Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. The LCD display dashboard, telescopic steering wheel, keyless transmitter and push-start system, and SRS airbags comes in as standard in the Swift RS.
The Swift RS (AT) is priced at RM 79,388 OTR without insurance for Peninsular Malaysia, RM 85,140 for Sarawak and RM 85,124 for Sabah. It comes with a 3-year warranty or 100,000km (whichever comes first).
