The Nissan Grand Livina is back and ready to kick the tarmac on Malaysian roads. Dubbed the best selling non-national brand MPV, Edaran Tan Chong Motors has sold over 65,000 units nationwide since the Grand Livina’s launch in 2007 and due to the overwhelming response, ETCM was proud to launch the facelifted version of Grand Livina.

Priced similarly like its predecessor – the new Grand Livina comes with an updated frontal fascia and back, complemented by some styling cues improvement including the new V-spoke alloy wheels, door mouldings and wing mirrors with integrated LED indicators. Confident with the overwhelming response from its predecessor, ETCM targets to sell 2,500 units of the new Grand Livina by the end of 2013.

According to the Director of Marketing and Product Planning of ETCM, Mr. Tan Keng Meng – “..while retaining the core concept of ‘Drives like a sedan, fits like an MPV’; the refreshed exterior and interior, along with more than 50 new enhancements, will attract young families with an urban lifestyle and who also enjoy recreational activities.”

The Grand Livina is sold in 2 different engine platforms, with a choice of both manual and automatic for the 1.6-litre HR16DE engine and only automatic is available with the 1.8-litre MR18DE engine. They claim that these compact and lightweight, all-aluminium 4-cylinders can deliver a responsive performance, strong refinement and top class fuel efficiency. The 1.6-litre engine is good for 110bhp and the 1.8-litre engine has an output of 130bhp.

The party piece of the new Grand Livina is Nissan’s Intelligent Key or i-Key system which allows keyless entry and start for the discerning owners and users. With i-Key, Nissan claims that owners are able to experience a higher level of convenience and security by virtue of not having to operate the remote control key when entering or exiting their top-selling MPV. At the same time, the new Grand Livina is fitted with a new Fine Vision Meter cluster with Multi-Information Display to show essential information about the vehicle for the driver.
