Hyundai to Open their Nurburgring Test Center in August 2013!

Hyundai is quickly climbing to become one of the major players in the automotive world, and they had gone to great lengths to make their cars better than before. One of them is through the completion of their purpose-built Nurburgring test facility, scheduled to be completed in August 2013.

The 3050 square meter facility will cover four floors which include the workshop area, office space and a VIP hospitality area, all given a unique glass and metallic finish. This USD 8.3 million facility is aimed to sharpen the handling and ride quality of their cars, especially for those bound for the European customers.

This is a big milestone for the 15-year old company, rising up from being just another car company to one that takes the attention of driving precision and performance to a different level. With this new test center, Hyundai will be able to perform accelerated durability tests on 11 vehicles in addition to accessing steering, suspension, ride and handling characteristics.

“Quality is one of Hyundai’s core values and it’s key to achieving customer satisfaction. The Nurburgring is the ultimate location to test vehicle durability, and we’re able to apply what we learn there to all of our vehicle development project”, said the Senior Vice President and COO of Hyundai Motor Europe, Allan Rushforth.
