In Malaysia alone – the Accord has sold over 51,000 units and with the convincing sales figures over the past couple of years, earlier today Honda Malaysia proudly launched the all-new 9th generation Honda Accord.

Starting from today – the Accord is available for booking from all Honda dealerships throughout Malaysia and will be sold in 3 different variants of choice, namely the 2.0VTi, 2.0VTi-L and 2.4VTi-L. With prices starting from RM139,800, the new Accord is priced competitively in the market against its competitor, namely the Toyota Camry.
The highest variant is now powered by Honda’s ‘Earth Dreams Technology” engine, a technological innovation to pursue a high level of driving performance and fuel efficiency. The 2.4-litre engine produces a respectable 172bhp and 225nm, setting pace for a Zerotohundred sprint in 9.2 seconds.
First impressions on the 9th gen Accord – the exterior is certainly a looker, tagged with the all new headlights with LEDs, the car looks graciously grown up and a step ahead of its competitor. With the newly redesigned shape, Honda has managed to increase the rear legroom size by 35.5mm and improving the boot capacity by 23 litres from its predecessor.
Being an Advanced Smart Premium Sedan – the new Honda Accord features a few party piece worth taking note. The main advanced feature on the 9th gen is the LaneWatch Camera (only available in 2.4-VTi-L), which displays the blind spot on the 8-inch LED Multi Information Display on the centre console via a camera fitted on the side mirrors. At the same time, it also comes with the Multi-Angle Rearview Camera that is able to capture a display area of 180 degrees for better visibility when reversing.
The all-new Accord is available in 5 colours – Modern Steel Metallic, Champagne Frost Pearl, Crystal Black Pearl, Tafetta White and Alabaster Silver Metallic. At the same time, Honda Malaysia offers a 5-year warranty with unlimited mileage and a new service interval of 10,000 km to provide the best ownership experience for the all-new Accord.
