Boasting a 4.2-liter V8 with 444hp and 430Nm of torque at tap, the new Audi RS5 has definately won many hearts since its official debut a couple weeks ago. And now its set to go on sale in another few weeks and to help with the sales Audi has released this new promo video.
The new Audi is not only pretty and powerful, it’s fast and easy on the pocket as well. The 100km/h sprint is seen off in just 4.6-seconds onto a electronically limited top speed of 250km/h, but if you find that a tad bit boring, Audi will remove the speed limiter allowing the car to hit the 280km/h mark. Traditionally such performance will put a heavy dent in the pocket but the RS5 consumes only 10.8 liter of petrol per 100km (if you’re wondering, that’s less than RM30 worth of Shell V-Power petrol).
To ensure all that power doesn’t end up in a big aluminium mess, Audi has installed a new crown-gear differential. It “can widely vary the distribution of torque between the front and rear axles. If necessary, up to 70 percent can flow to the front or as much as 85 percent toward the tail end.”
The RS5 goes on sale in Germany in the second quarter of this year with a base price of approximately US$103,870.
