806hp Koenigsegg CCR Evolution At The Dragstrip

The guys over at Sportbilen attended the 2009 Action Meet racing event this past weekend and had the chance to film the only Swedish registered Koenigsegg CCR Evolution during the quarter mile run. From what we gathered, this CCR had been upgraded with the newer CCX’s 4.7-liter supercharged V8 engine (hence the Evolution nametag) and the car is now producing a mighty 806hp at 7,000rpm and a peak torque of 920Nm (693ft-lb) at 5500rpm.

On it’s first run, the CCR Evolution clocked a 12.02-second quarter-mile run and a top speed of 213.64km/h while the second run clocked a time of 11.43 seconds (top speed wasn’t recorded). For the record, the CCR Evolution was fitted with normal sport tyres hence the massive tyre spin during launch as the tyres stuggle to put all down all that power. The Koenigsegg does sound utterly amazing though.

It's struggling badly with traction. Tyres just cannot handle the Torque. It needs slicks
