BMW Bags World Engine of The Year Award

bmwlogo1Yes we know BMW make great engines, they have been driving that point home every year for the past three years. This year as before, the Munich based auto-maker took the honour six times in what some believe to be a one-sided contest skewed in favor of BMW

Among the six honours that BMW secured is the coveted International Engine of the Year award. This category was won by the 3 liter twin-turbo (135i) for the second time in a row beating Volkswagen Group’s 1.4 TSI powerplant by almost a 100 points.

The awards are presided over by a panel of 65 international motoring journalists from 32 countries across the world.
