But drilling holes off the draining path of the trunk lid will eventually lead to water leaking if not properly installed. Another thing is if you drill the hole off the OEM spot then probably have to drill the inner metal frame of the trunk lid as well to make room for the nut to be fastened if you know what I am talking about. The trunk lid is composed of external metal skin and internal metal frame support (so called skeleton).

I agree with you hikaru , but if the person really like the spoiler, he has to sacrifice the skeleton lorr.
