audiophile cds..........they're kinda boring actually.......i mean, maybe to impress guys on how good ur system is but other than that, most audiophile cds kinda cater the older generation.......locally,i mean....came across nice ones in Hong Kong's HMV.....vast collection compared to our local stores.....8am,stuck in jam.....i'd rather listen to this woman here....
i so listen to oldies......but those audiophile kinda artists........it's like being stuck in one genre only......i listen to everything.......english,malay,tamil,chinese........n diff genre as well......
the audiophiles audio is remastered production where the qualities is improved by using technology. find great recording labels perhaps can try ur SQ. for example, i think maria digby cd recording quite nice. il divo. chinese cd normally using higher bit and sound quite clear. i got the limited edition of shakira latin language cd which i bought it around RM70. sound quite nice compare to my normal mariah carey cd's... :)
i luv whitney houston.......lenny kravitz.........toni braxton.........tracy chapman........celine dion........n the rest of 70's n 80's gang...........
Tuning for SQ I would use some female vocals song like Faith Hill for subs I would use test tones.
But for showing off I would play some Phil Collins for my components for bass you could always play some bass mekanik, Gucci Mane, Young Jeezy, Opeth or Chimaira for double bass.
