What so good about 400D ?

It's been almost 1 year++ i've been keep poisoning by DSLR kaki surrounding me ( from my friend la)....and so far couple of them all using 350D, some with kit lens and some upgraded lens.

When i almost decide to buy 350D lasttime then Canon lauch 400D :confused_smile: ( was told average 15 months sure sure new model)...so 400D from Sep 2006 till now i saw the price down was like quite fast compare to 350D..(from Rm3500 to now RM3100/3200 ??)...

Ok la, let me cut my crap SHORT !! :Not_Impressed:

Aside from 10.2MP, Anti-Dust, 27 continuous, 2.5" LCD, 9 Focus point....what else is so good about 400D compare to 350D ? I just saw today in LowYat's Desa Home Threatre, 350D price tag RM2599 and 400D price tag RM3500 ( I know they markup) but different between both are like at least Rm500-700 different, right ??

I was told or from some review told :-
- 400D have more noise ?
- 400D kit lens better then 350D kit lens ( i don't think i will upgrade lens that easy..$$ problem)
- 400D consume more battery due to bigger LCD

SO WHICH ONE TO BUY NOW ??? Which place offer the BEST package ?? Prefer free original bag, 1GB CF (if 2GB lagi best), Filter (free or discount), Tripod (if can free else no need la)

One more thing worry is scare later 400D have promotion like 350D lasttime, discount price with 90-300mm lens :angry_smile:

Oh yeah, one more thing...better to buy new or secondhand (some claim less than how many though snap/shoot la but there isn't anyway tracking or counter in the camera we can know actually figure)....

1stly.. Y do u need a DSLR? do u shoot sports? or indoor conditions with bad lighting alot? u dun really need 1 unless u do those. shoot and learn ur current camera well, it'll do better than any dSLR which u dunno how to set up. see this site if u dun beleive me.

For ur question: Y dun u consider a D40(Nikon) instead? Its cheaper, lighter and (most of the time, read: more usable) better than an 400D. check out that site for 'real' review.

haha another poisoned guy here,

first, confirm which world u wanna step in first ,bright side CANON or dark side NIKON (both no ending haha), then only u choose.

ok last time i oso like u dunno which 1 to buy, buy after i go ask comments around, these are what i got :

- take 400D lah, 2.5" oh, better review than 350d,u take 350d later u regret LCD so small cant see pic clear (well if u dun care to review in LCD then dun care this haha)

- walao 400d DIGIC II oh, how can u compare with DIGIC I, sure lose lah 350d
(dun care this oso nvm haha but it does provide better picture quality)

- wah..400d got anti dust u oso yim3yim4 ah? u noe we using 30D / D70s / D50 all wan tat function oso dunhav ah...
(many told me this, seems like malaysia' air gv them alot of dust in the sensor?)

- aiya dun compare with old 1, if u got budget then take new better ma, since provide more things even the price up abit, "1 cent $ 1 cent thing" haha
(told by many people also)

btw all the points up there not shooting u haha is what i heard when i do survey around.

ok back to here, so u must think properly, what u wan to "own" actually, if u dun care what the new functions and tech in 400D,then no prob u can take 350D since save $, but do remind u is, must really dun care those things or else when u buy new 350d, u take tat go out for shooting sure some1 will ask "aiya y take tat not good lah take 400d ma aiya bla bla bla"... this will make ur heart collapse and u'll "AM DUI" y last time dun take 400d haha

but if u got bit feel on the new features in 400d and got the budget, then y not 400d? sure u will satisfied if u like it, unless u haven decided what u actually want la.

btw, 350d or 400d i got friends in CANON Concept Store in Mid Valley, can gv u nice package with nice price, got canon back pack(if still got stock)

so...THINK PROPERLY AND DECIDE YOURSELF DON'T FOLLOW OTHERS
