for trunks, u need a base station to transmit rite ? how much is registration n fees for trunks ?

the furthest range for handie is Icom IC-V82.. transmite about 7 watts... (woww !!)

and for the mobile (car sets) is Icom IC-V8000 75 watts...

how far ??? it's very far...

for the trunk radio.. u need to register your company to the trunk radio operator.. i.c, Eletcom, Martel or so on..
the basic units is Kenwood TK 270 and it's cost u RM 1520/unit (at least 2 units)... the repeater (i think u mean this..) will provided by the operator... thanks

this Icom IC-V82 is HAM Radio, if u want to transmite.. pls transmite outside 144-148 MHz... (at your own risk..) BUT become a Short Wave Listener (SWL) u will have fun and end up with u really keen to have a license in Amatuer Radio.. believe that.. :)

that's what we call HAMs... or Amatuer Radio Operator.. (or station)

the 9W2*** is their unique callsign.. the one one callsign designated or each operator..

if you have this lisence.. u can talk all around malaysia using this radio thru repeater (this thing help u to go further..)

just cost u RM 180 for 5 years license fee.. u can talk to anybody got lisence... it's very good hobby and it's very useful especially when u r emergency condition... such as.. no phone coverage, phone out of bateri.. or when NO CREDIT !! :rolleyes:

But.. to get this 9W2*** u have to sit an exam done by MCMC...(Malaysian Communication & Multimedia Commission)

so.. let's become the group !!

if u wanna get a license, do alert with MCMC notice.. or others Amatuer Club such as MARES, MARTS, ASTRA & so on..
ok.. on november there is another exam to get this lisense.. when.. i have no idea... register as a "calon peperiksaan" then attend classes done by amatuer radio club...
they will provide u everything regarding radio & the exam... dun worry.. u work smart ... u will pass.. u so lazy.. eheheh.. fail..
