That price for 1-2 yr old unreg cars. depends on yr la and wher eyou shop..
I'm talking about the EP3. RM160k++ strikes me as being a bit pricey for a hatchback. I mean how much is the DC5?
Can you still get the EK9 new, as in brand new???
Brand New EK9's? Hmm, last ones were made abt year 99... I think.
A bit susah if u ask me to get almost brand new..
EP3s ARE about that price, brand new unregistered. DC5 also maybe more/less?
Thats funny. Why would anyone buy the EP3 then if it was around the same price as a DC5?
no more brand new EK's, they're all gone.
last time i looked, i thought brand new DC5's were going for RM220,000
Then thats ridiculous. Would much rather have a Evo for that price.
Yeah it's a little pricey for a non-luxury 2-door FWD. But then again, people are saying the same about the satria R3.
The civic and teg R is sold considerably cheaper in other countries, thanks to our 'unique' tax structure cars are priced as it is here <_<
yeah, in other countries. the "R" tag cost only a few grand more then the normal civic!!! Over here ADD 100K to that amount!!!
Tax structure, and very very shrewed businessmen. The solution? We build our own car!
Hence the R3 B)
My gwailo colleague tells me in UK, for 30K pounds, u can buy very nice performance cars like RX8, Evo, WRX...etc..etc..
When he came over here.. he had no choice but to get a Proton. He used to drive a 2-door Peugeot 407.
Sigh.. why oh why are our tax so high?
with all this discussion about how good the R3 is... anyone here knows about safety of owning an R3? i'm considering one but have been adviced not to get it due to the high theft rate here. owners out there, anyone had people try to rip bits off your R3 just as yet? At the moment i drive a satria with bits on it. i've already had minor parts stolen... any comments??
btw, love protons!!! somethin outa my country!!!
without proton, i don't think malaysia would have this amazing scene in car modification. guess it's the way proton is brought up in malaysia huh?! no where else have i seen conversions like i've seen in malaysia. seems like proton has turned people here into inline-4 specialists!!! they make cars that can't satisfy people which makes them try to improve the budget rides!! i'd say "yay go proton!!!!"
Protons and peroduas are the most modded for the most obvious of reasons. Its the cheapest. This and the fact that we got plenty of kedai potong around.
i think R3 owners will have to potentially live with the possibility. Gti owners have been complaining about this since the car was launched. not much you can do, unless you can see where you park your car from wherever you are.
hmm...now lemee see.. where can i find an R3? that carbon fibre spoilers looks pretty neat... ;)
So is that rubber strip up the side with the R3 emblem ;)
anyone planning to go dyno the SR3 with the cat out ? just wondering how much improvement has been done with the "tuned" extractor/exhaust B)
I am planning to do a dyno, but a few other bolt-on mods first. Plus it needs to be totally run-in.
Sigh, envy you guys who has bought one man. Sure wish I could get one.
Better save money for the next R3 model!!! Whens its coming? Any ideas what its gonna pack?
What's wrong with the current R3?
Well, the thing about R3 parts is that it's very obvious that it's from an R3. Any car spotted with such parts other than SR3...better watch out!
