Questions on making 400WHP MR-2

Hey guys!!!
I have'nt touched my engine yet its bone stock........so before i start on my quest for power i wanted to set power goal!!! and i chose 400whp. I wanna know if its possible to attain that kind of power without modifying the internals of the engine.

If no, then what is the maximum amount of power i can put at the wheels without touching the internals of the engine!!!

stock turbo can't produce that kind of power too....400whp on mr2 very scary....need to improve alot on handling 1st.....u need bigger turbo, internal hav to do, management, boost controller, good clutch,fuel pump n etc......i'm aiming for 350whp on my 3SGTE...next year project

which project car bro? celica o mr2? 350whp tht means engine need produce 4xxhp right?

Speak to MRMIC2 - car already in that region of power, but i must agree that 400WHP on a MR2 is mighty scarry, and its going to be a bitch to drive on the roads. Unlike other heavy chassis (Skyline, Celica etc) 400bhp is very wild on a MR2.

400whp on a 1200kg car is really scary... it will be wild to the max...

Standard 1ZZ has only 140hp with 170N-m of torque @ 4200rpm.

If you can build torque to 380N-m @ 7500rpm;you are there!!!....400WHP.

Figure this one out...WITHOUT changing engine internals.

from the looks of what u guys are saying.........i'm gona have to mod the internals to reach that figure, which i don't wanna do. So how much WHP do u guys suggest i can go for without modding the internals and guys i'm talkin reliable WHP. somethin that won't kill my engine!!!

400 hp on stock internal is possible at the flywheel. 400 whp on the other hand, hmmm...

Last time ran 340whp with stock internals with no problems, with nitrous and turbo upgrade.

i think running 340whp with stock internal with no prob is sooner o later got prob....the stock connecting rod and many other parts just cant cope wit tat much power

B4 U go 400whp, beefup the car's handling capabilities..........that has alot of work U need to do such as the suspension, shockers, brakes, pay special attention to your car's arm geometries, set yr camber right etc, etc. Also U need to hv the right LSD, as stock LSD might not handle that power properly, tires is extremely important, these is to ensure yr car go straight rather than fishtailing. Do U really need 400whp?

I guess not........but 400BHP sounds good enough!!!! well!!! let me be honest with you!!!! Other than the reason that im in love with my car, my other reason to startin this project is I wanna build a Honda Killer!!! No offence to any1 here on this Forum but.....where i come from, more than
half of the street racing comunity drives a Honda and they think its a ferrari or sumthin.

Every guy u talk to says brags bout his crapy honda when it comes to the road all he can see is the rear end of my 2!! so thought id step the game up a bit since their brains started workin and their startin to use forced induction.

So I'm hopin u could post up a set up list for me, keep in mind this car is driven only on the weekends!

U sound very promising...... may i know ur setup list and did u change the ECU???
and how much do u put out on HIGH BOOST?

Any suggestions on good and quality paint shops round kl area? My car is full of dents and scratches everywhere mostly because of my dog :D I was wondering how do I identify whether if they are using good quality paint and lacquer ?
