Exterior
The CLA’s interior boasts unusual lines, combining both concave and convex surfaces transformed to a rather dynamic appearance, hinting what the CLA could offer in its driving experience.
All models now get the AMG Line exterior package; comprising of new front apron, diamond radiator grille with chrome pins, rear apron, side sill panels, and twin-pipe exhaust system with chrome-plated tailpipe trim. The car also sits lower with new sports suspension to match the new look.
Completing the appearance is a set of 18-inch AMG multi-spoke light alloy wheels on the CLA 200 and 19-inch AMG cross-spoke light alloy wheels on the CLA 250 Sport 4MATIC. Both variants are equipped with perforated brake discs at the front, with Mercedes-Benz lettering on the calipers.
New to the Mercedes CLA is Mercedes’ LED High Performance headlights that is claimed to consume 60% less energy than xenon and around 70% less energy than halogen. While the low-beam is provided by LED projection technology, the main- or high-beam uses LED reflection technology.
For the tail-lights, Mercedes implemented multi-level functionality that automatically alters the intensity in 3 different modes – Day/Night-time Driving/Night-time Stationary – depending on situation.
Interior
In the cabin, the CLA benefits from new features like new seat covers and trim parts, as well as chrome-plated controls. Further encompassing the sporty look are the new trim elements in black DINAMICA microfiber, sports seats in ARTICO man-made leather and multifunction steering wheel with flat-bottom and red-stitching contrast.
The 8-inch free-standing media display is now slimmer, with new-style glass cover. The CLA 200 and CLA 250 Sport get the Audio 20 CD systems while COMAND Online is exclusive to the Mercedes-AMG CLA 45.

What’s new on the car, actually? Firstly, the LED High Performance headlights that are optional on the previous CLA 45 are now fitted as standard. The CLA 45 also receives extensive aerodynamics revision – reduced drag coefficient (Cd) as well as aggressive styling - to set the car apart and improving driving dynamics and stability.
The front fascia has been restyled, sporting AMG front apron in a new A-wing design with larger front splitter finished in matte titanium grey and high-gloss black flics. There are also a new four vertical fins at the rear diffuser.
Upgrades on the interior follows the same concept, to provide a sportier environment. The instrument panel is upholstered in ARTICO man-made leather as standard, while red contrasting stitching presents itself everywhere from the steering wheel, instrument panels and sports seats.
With Zerotohundred achieved in just 4.2 seconds, it sets the CLA 45 AMG apart from the rest of the variants, thanks to 381hp and 475Nm performance figures from its 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged engine.
