Mivec has 1.8?

Hi everyone.
I came across a satria neo Mivec 1.8L, at least that's what the guy told me.
I'm curious I thought mivec only came at 1.6L?



Take a look at the photo, I need to know if this mivec has the same power as the 1.6?
I only know 4g93 has 1.8L but no mivec, and then Mivec Dohc is the 4g92 1.6L
I'm new guys sorry I'm a noob.
My main point is that, is this engine as powerful as the 1.6?

There is no 1.8 L MIVEC produced. When people say that, it is a hybrid between MIVEC 1.6 head and 4G93 block. More torque. About power, I not sure. Should be more also la... Quite a number of people do this mods ah... Honda also got B16 head with B20 block.

its a hybrid.. mivec ck kawin with gsr ck block. just like how they used to do it with the previous gen proton's but with the newer terbalik model 92 and 93 engines from ck chasis

definitely more power. 1.8 vs 1.6, the torque is already more.

combination of 4g93 block with 4g92 Mivec cylinder head. definitely more powerful :)

Sorry to bring up this old thread, just wanna know how much exactly is the power difference in numbers for this "1.8" Mivec compare to the stock Mivec? Stock is around 170hp & 167Nm, so for this "1.8"? Wonderin whether its worth it...

170hp & 167Nm are on paper only...i've dyno my mivec 1.6 and only managed to get around 125-130hp... for mivec 1.8, u need a proper setting device such as e-manage,safc or even better get the microtech, then u can get 150hp and above...

yup...some more different at the kick coz 1.8 long stroke already so the powerband also different...

if the mechanic using wrong combination then sure power drop....


if correct parts and proper tuning was done definately it was wayyy better than mivec 1.6.....

Wow! 125-130hp only? is that on wheel or engine? if it's whp its not too bad but if it's bhp i think it's not worth it then to convert if im driving a satria/wira etc..
