Hmm actually I think that makes sense, if I'm gonna end up paying the same price as UHP tyres, might as well get UHP tyres.

So now the question is RIMs.

If I'm going for 185/55-15 (1.3%), then the rims should be around 5.5jj - 6jj, then what would the min/max Offset be? because I want to make the rims as flush as possible with the fender.

You want flush with fender best is offset ET35, use 195/50R15. 195/55R15 might scrub the fenders....

Wah! why use non common size, should go 195/60R15. As for price, I don't have for 185/65R15, but that day ask for another friend. 175/65R15 RM197, 185/60R15 RM186, therefore 185/65 should be RM200 plus unless got offer, but should try 195/60....lol

Standard size yes, but size not so common. Like my friend Fiesta 195/55R16, City 175/65R15, even my forester 225/60R17.....lol

While was getting the old rims dismounted, one of the lug bolt was spinning with the Nut.

The workshop people showed me, one of the threads is gone.

Im not sure what this part is called, and does Proton Parts sell it?

That is the wheel stud. Easily available. The tyre shop don't have? then try motor mechanic or spare part shop. Get the right length and thread size. Thread sizes are 1.25 and 1.5 if not mistaken

There is really no grinding needed to seperate the wheel from the drum. I would have just remove the rim center cap and loosen the drum nut so i can remove the rim together with the drum. Can easily hold the stud using hand after removung the drum.

Another way is to retighten the wheel nut again so the stud lock it self on the drum. Difficult to do manually but easy to do with an impact wrench to get the initial grip.

Actually the bolt is already removed, My car is running with 1 less lug bolt on one of the rear wheels now.

I think the thing is called a rear bearing hub / Bearing housing?

I noticed the bolts are held by a thread groove, that allows drills to take out the lug nuts. I don't understand why Proton didn't just make a slot design to lock the bolts in place, instead of a thread that will wear out and eventually lead to replacing the entire Hub

Well i believe all cars are designed like that even with the front wheel stud. I wonder why yours come loose in the first place.

I replaced few of these on a Pajero before due to the thread on the stud had worn out but have never seen them loosen at the base.

I can imagine a scenario where previous repair or maintenance job require the removal of the drum and the mech just drop it in the floor studs first so it becomes dislodge from its seating position.

You really lunatic rider. Get it fixed asap man. The load bearing of that corner is significantly reduced... pretty sure spare parts shop would carry the part you need. If you're in Klang Valley, PH Auto in Seapark would most likely have it.

If the base have been damaged, looks like you need to change the drum then. Like bro. gunnerzz mentioned, seldom see the damage at the base....
