when talking about korean made car, everybody will immediately pop up a higher fuel comsume.when i'm asking a few hyundai friends, they disagree.newest hyundai car are towards economical set up with fuzzy logic.e.g latest accent probably use less fuel than 1.5 proton. 1.6 matrix is saver than other mini mpv.
can we share your ride fuel consumption?may be we could take this as a reference in future selection.
- my friends 96 accent auto got rm10=60km city/80km hiway
- my 96 1.6 elantra auto got rm10=45km city/80km hiway (1.6 wira even worst)
- my friends 01 1.8 elantra auto got rm10=40km city/70km hiway
- my friends 1.6 matrix auto got m10=70km city/90km hiway (very good)
- my friends 1.6Getz auto got rm10=60km city/80km hiway
- my supplier 02 sonata auto got rm10=40km city/70km hiway
- my fiends trajet 01 auto is the worst, rm10=30km city/50km hiway

all are auto tranny and estimate base on normal driving.not a heavy footer.
how about manual tranny?? should have better fuel saver.

Scoupe manual??how much you get? how about Atoz? i heard it is more saver than kenari?

please share..TQ.

Atos FC is heavily depends on the driver weight. For lady with lighter weight will have good FC, but bad FC for heavy dude like me. It's all because of the 1.1 engine need more fuel + Power to carry me. Muahaha

what is inside the tiburon? beta 1.8L o 2.0L?
if you get a 580km for 55L, thats mean your rm10=54.92km.not bad but may be can improve more since you drive a manual tranny.somemore your power to weight is higher.

may be you're not well practise of auto drive habit.does you car has the normal/eco button? OD?i'd practise a simple drive habit especially when drive in massive traffic by OFF the OD and use normal(power) button.this is to move the car easily rather than tried out carry the weight using eco mode.when achieve long staight clear road,ON OD back and if you're in elax driving (picnic?),use ECO button..
each time you wanna overtake, release the pedal and press half to enable the suitable lower gear to accelerate. i just asking a friends about his 05 accent and he claim getting a rm10=70km in city while 90km at hiway.

BETA 1.8L. yah, that's due to heavy driver weight. :X-:

oh..to other forumers. I driving Tibby 1.8l manual with some medium mod and now running on 17" wheeler.

what i did on my car is
lighten pulley
ecu tune up
fuel pressure regulator
Fujitsubo muffler
Straight through spinning type cat back replacement
throttle body mod (quicker respond)
DIY intake mod
Earth cabling
Aftermarket spark plug cable

I believe the above will determine hows my car fuel consumption.
