hmm.. engine mounting? if can shudder like that means the mounting keras or gone very badly already. Later will send to sri muda workshop have them see the mounting... just more like GB, torque converter or gears related.

my idle speed now is 1000rpm at current.

Can recommend a good workshop for me? ... anywhere in KL/puchong/shah alam/ klang also can
What car you driving?

Idling speed 1k in N or D? If in D, 1k is ok, some idle at 1k in N, then engage D it drops then got vibration.

If in D at 1k still vibrate, probably engine mounting.

I will pm to you my mechanic contact

Bro YYC,

can recommend where you did yr diagnosis for the GB?

I wanna get mine check though...got this weird on going shuddering feel when I engage on 1st gear at standstill / traffic jam.. when rev then no more...when release the pedal...rpm low @ 1st gear..shudder come back again and only happens at 1st gear... other gears are ok, no slippage.

Lucky my shudder only applies on 1st gear...how was yours? if no jam its OK...now see traffic light..quickly put back to N...

Got my ATF done about 10 days ago on 28/9. Didn't solve the problem. Not all workshops are experts to handle perdanas...don't wanna get into trouble change this and that and yet problem never solve..scared already.
I have changed GB twice since that post, last was in Jan15. In spite of the new gb the shudder problem remains though not as frequent as previously. It occurs only during gear shift, randomly once in every 100-200 shifts like that. So I live with that and hope to change car next year.

I did the second GB change at a GB specialist in Balakong, Selangor. Diagnosing gb issues is a pain in the ass, normally if shudder is bad and frequent, a GB change is needed or you'll risk getting stranded somewhere helplessly when it fails completely.

Bro V2R,

1st - someone I knew recommended me to some after market USA fuel injector cleaners, poured in 300ml and dissolved it with RM 50 fuel. Drove for 15mins and the shuddering reduced at least 30%. Got improved power, not sure about FC.

Next day, sent in to the workshop ...u were right about the mountings, Changed 3 mountings...problem immediately solved.

At the same time, detected some oil leaks on the GB & engine..had to change the seals, ATF, GB oil filter and etc...damage was abit high side ..but ride was once again perfect for my v6.

smooth & silent once again..

YYC,

mine luckily wasn't a GB issue. it didn't felt like one actually but didn't know what it was...
but my repair cost of 3 mountings, Toyota ATF oil, gear oil filter, oil seals and other seals & misc items cost almost to a rebuilt GB change. approx. 1600

But in the end, the satisfaction was there, problem solved

if cant get it solved, I need to send it to V2R recommended shop...

Yea u r right...its the mounting, all 3 dead, 1 extremely bad...the rubber fell out from the mount after dismantle..the earlier DIY treatment solved the constant RPM fluctuations due to dirty injectors.

As they say pay one sen, get one sen quality. Yah! For my wira last time, my mechanic quoted me 3 prices. Really cheap unbranded ones, mid price proton ones and expensive MMC Japan imports. He told me to use the local Proton ones good enough...:driver:
