676, the HKS Twinpower is a CDI system and is completely different from the coils and the ignition coil amplifier that is listed. In a Capacity Discharge System (CDI) the energy is stored by the capacitor and not the coils. Then when the Ecu wants to create a spark, it triggers the capacitor to fire, and all the energy stored is fired in a very short high power pulse. The pulse is several hundred volts. The coils then acts as a transformer and changes that pulse into several thousand volts, enought to create a spark.
Stock Mitsubishi uses inductive system meaning the energy is stored in the coils. Thats why coils amplifier are used to boost performance.
Peter, this system has no benefits with regards to the spark plugs used. But it does allow the motor to idle smother and gives a better bang at the top. It cleans-up the engine bay (No spark plug cable), replaces your 15yr old coils and sometimes, I've been told, blow-away skirts. The above items still uses the stock ecu and ignitor. Everything just plugs up to you stock ignition wiring including the Nology Powercore and NO you do not need a standalone to run this.
I build this my self so lots of TLC put in it. Sayang to sell....
Enought of essay writting, Thanks for looking.
