what is the symptomp of A/C compressor kong? keep clicking?
You get hot air blowing through the vents instead? Usually during gas refill time they will know since it won't make any difference. Mine was detected simply by opening the fuse box, pulling out the air con fuse and saw that it had blown. Replaced new fuse, switch on aircon and it ran for a couple minutes then blew again. When it blew, it made an audible click but in your case I have no idea since you never replaced the fuse to get it running again yet right?

Anyway in my case most likely cause was compressor just which part was yet to be determined since needed to be disassembled. Once all apart, was the magneto coil (?) that was shorted so replaced that for RM100ish. But not always can be fixed, sometimes compressor needs replacing completely. Mine was due to power steering fluid leaking onto the compressor over time (had to top up power steering twice in two months but never got around to properly finding the leak) since compressor covered in oil.

mine just clicks from time to time very frequently. Mechanic said compressor is about to kong but i'm still getting very cold air from it. Another mechanic says my idle could be too low but its perfect for me(doesn't hunt). I suspect its the aircond relay or something but i don't know.

Headache headache!

Can you start the car with the aircon on or will the revs be too low you need to sort of prod the accelerator to make sure it doesn't die. But with aircon off no problem?

Yeah. The car starts no problem with max aircond or auto climate control set to max.idling nice and no other weird sounds just that it's clicking alot when aircond is on.

Ah then its totally unlike my situation. Mine basically felt like the aircond was slowly dying. A little less cooler and a little longer to get cold and since I don't drive the car often, the next time I drove it the aircond was blowing hot air. Just take it to your mechanic or closest aircond shop?

Due to privacy concerns and the theft of russwestwood's R34 GT-R in recent past, I've decided not to update this build thread.

This does not mean that my R33 GT-R rebuild project did not come to full fruition. In fact, far from it.

After 12 months of collecting parts and prepping a spare RB26 for the rebuild, this is the end result. And boy was it worth it.

For the full rebuild diary and parts list, head on over to my blog at What A Drive™.

At the dyno, the car put out 500.84 PS (493 bhp) at 1.6 bar, displaying a good power band and a very healthy max torque of 56.24 kgm (551.15 N·m of torque). Full boost at 4000 rpm. That's the equivalent of how much power and torque a BMW E60 M5's 5.0L V10 engine makes when the "M" power button is switched on (Power: 507 PS; 500 bhp at 7750 rpm / Torque: 520 N·m at 6100 rpm).

Loving my 'new' R33 GT-R :).

So anyway folks, thank you so much for following my rebuild and for contributing to this thread with your thoughts & viewpoints.

I'd like to wish our Muslim Zerotohundred members a Selamat Hari Raya and Maaf Zahir dan Batin. To everyone, please drive safe during this festive period and do take care.

- Loki

If you're concerned about security and potential theft due to exposure on ZTH, why post the link to your blog? Doesn't that defeat the purpose?

Good job btw completing the build. Hard to believe one whole year has flown by - must be one turbocharged year :driver:

Like my postings on ZTH, my blog entries have been screened and do not allude to any personal information that would compromise my privacy nor expose the GT-R to the risk of theft.
