Hello members, any experiences of having 195/50R15 to replace the original 55/60? How does it feel and how does it behave?

Thank you very much.

I was planning to do the same thing too..
Was planning to change from 60 to 55/50..
I noticed that the 55 series has more choices than 60..
Besides I wanna know what are other people's experience..

well its depends on the tyre thread / pattern but i used 195/50/15 on my neo before & last time i used Prada, i find it interesting both on cornering & straight line... :driver:

It will feel more stiff and more direct when cornering. Expect ride comfort to decrease by few %...kekeke

if u wanna use size 50/55 profile tires better upgrade to larger wheels or else u might get wrong speedometer readings.. here's the link to calculate wheels and tires diameter Car Bibles : The Wheel and Tyre Bible Page 4 of 4
The thing is though..
My car's speedometer is already giving higher than actual readings..
When I checked it with GPS and smart phones I noticed that the speedometer is registering 10% faster reading than the GPS and smart phone readings..
I did the tire calculator and if I change my tires to 50 series, theoretically I should be able to correct back my speedometer reading..

smaller diameter tires will only give u higher readings not reducing/correcting it.. the most similar size near to 195/60/15 is 205/50/16.. if u still wanna use 15 inch wheels 205/55/15 is the most similar diameter compare to 195/60/15

Thanks for the advice..
In the end I decided to change my rubbers to 195/55 R15..
Gotten myself the Michelin Pilot Sport 3..
So far I am more than satisfied with it..
The grip is tremendous..
And I now have much more confidence when taking corners as well as when the road is wet..
The torrential rain lately gave me the chance to try them out and so far I am not disappointed at all..
Of course I am aware that my surname isn't Senna or Hakkinen but these tires are a good match for my Persona and my requirement..
Ride is quiet though not as quiet as I would have expected..
But these coming from a high performance tires I may be nitpicking only..
Will continue to test them out over the next few days..
;)

Hi there, I ended up trying Falken ze912 195/50/r15 at the front. The ride got a little bit harsher, much more responsive in corners and speedometer got offset 10km/h, real speed 100km/h, meter showing 110km/h which doesn't affect me at all.

It is indeed interesting. Going to stick with 50 series.

Now using 4 195/50 series tires. Rougher ride, wheels looks small, arch looks big but interesting ride...
