you got rotally screwed over. sorry to hear this. The only advice i can give is, in future do your research on the shop you plan to go to and the owner. I have had my share of bad experience in Penang but now when i deliver my car i get the owner out and go along a checklist of whats in the car when i drop off and have the workshop owner sign it. sounds kiasu but i've had it with excuses like "i got robbed" so all your barang also lost.
