Ok, so by this logic, if say the whole engine was completely balanced to the 3rd decimal point (just hypothetically speaking) would it still need this counter balance shaft? What vibration does it counter? Where is the vibration from?
the nature of inline 4 engine is not balance.... if you do complete balancing also cannot, still need balance shaft no minimize the prob...

you can read here to fully understand it...

anyone mind to share on pros and cons on removing 4g63 balancer shaft?
those experienced may elaborate more. thx
:proud:

So in my mind the pros of removing them would be:
* Higher oil pressure because the pump has to support less bearing space
* Less rotating weight ( More HP)
* No chance of BS bearing Failure
* Easier timing belt changes, and less failures.

The Cons:
* Possibly accelerated motor mount wear (but I doubt it)
* It shakes your butt.

i would say not much changes on oil pressure and be ready to get rock n roll....hahaha

Havent install yet, been busy for these few weeks...anyway after install still need to run in for 500km i guess
You will be going for the Eliminator kit or u used back yr Oem Balance Shafts and change the bearings?

hey bro how much would it cost to get it machined and how much the labour cost roughly to fix it back ar bro???
i send my block only to rebuild:
changed piston rings #ori
changed rod and crank bearings #kings bearing
changed all oil seals #ori
machine balancer shaft
remove 1 balancer shaft and weld the shaft hole
honing cylinder wall
all this for rm1400...now waiting to install the block to my car ( doing myself )

You will be going for the Eliminator kit or u used back yr Oem Balance Shafts and change the bearings?
i machine the oem shaft and replace the bearing, i would say it is better

any questions are welcome since we all share info here, maybe some sifus can give better advise

Hi Spuzzle, what do you mean machinig the oem shaft? you mean polishing the bs journal and where do you get the oem bearing?
Well, what i can share is after gather some info's frm the net, ive decided to used back my oem bs and just change the front and back bearings....As 1 of my friend after done the eliminator kit,the car idling and vibration is quite bad....But i dont mean the eliminator kit is unreliable laa....

"DO NOT SEND THIS ONE" = spuzzle already remove & weld the hole at oilpump
"SEND THIS ONE" = he machine this one & install back to block (this shaft attach to oilpump gear)

after machine it look like below :

it right spuzzle??

jameswwt.... the eliminator kit you say is like this right??

it just chop the shaft that attach to the oil pump gear.....

nan, u r right...exactly like your pic...how is si kuning now? running healthy or waiting medical and treadmill examination? hahaha

james, the best is send your complete engine internals to balance to prevent vibration but my mechanic did few engines without any major vibrations...very minimal to notice, same like using racing engine mounting...maybe depend on lucks also:proud:

kumar, u can do this when u plan to overhaul your engine...not worth to mod the bs only

after settle that prob, she need to pass treadmill exam.... pass mark 450hp... huhuhu..

my engine oso no balance shaft & not done full balance, no major vibration....

i dont think its worth doing dis mod for street machines, considering the cost and risk. u can always free sum horses from sumwhere else imo

aduhh, si kuning sick again....maybe weather change so cough a bit only...hehehe

just to share, our machines for weekend use only and we did it during overhaul...the cost to machine the shaft is too cheap to mention if u compare with what u spent on the engine...risk? mind to share what risks involve? coz i dont see any for now and many have been using this setup for ages
