Regarding the sound... i didn't feel much difference if installed inside the plenum, but the type of intake air filter used also plays an important role. If using HKS mushroom filter, I think the ITB roar will be louder. I myself using Apexi dual funnel, sound wise not much difference after swapping out the rubber OEM trumpet to SS trumpet. However, remove the plenum and you will be an immediate crowd pleaser. ;)

Trumpets aka velocity stacks doesn't necessarily increase HP, its more of a responsive improvement thingy. Just to note...

well, open trumpet is nice but it'll 'choke' a bit when your rpm is around 3-4k range. but after that... ;)

don't floor the throttle when u are around 2-3k rpm. slowly press down the throttle. when it passes 3.5k-4k rpm then only u floor it. u'll be amazed. :D

Its not so much the trumpets but your cam and AFR.In stock mode the BT VVT kicks in @ 4400rpm but with the 272 cams the intake opens about 20deg earlier so you got to retune and that should take care of it.

Regarding the AFR,how to adjust it?coz my car seems to hav a misfiring sound and quite frequent there's a 'fuel-cut' feeling eventhough I'm not pressing till the redline....does it bcoz of the AFR or something else...my car really need to meet the 'specialist doctor' bout its illness

owh really?! hmmm, i was a bit suspicious when i did that O2 sensor test. multimeter works fine (moved up when i press throttle and down when i released throttle) except when i maintain the rpm @ 2500, the meter will be idle in the middle. It didn't move more than 8 times in 10 secs. actually... it doesn't move at all... LOL :banghead:

now the hard part, where to get a new/working used sensor?

good bell-mouth shape...

Just called up an authorised Bosch distributor in Butterworth. I asked him what's the model and he said it's for universal use. he didn't give me the model number :banghead:. He said any car can use. the kit comes with application chart and wiring diagram. He said as long as u hook it up correctly the 4 wires, then it should be working. No return after buying cos i said i'm a car owner (customer), not from any spare part shops.
the price he quoted me for a brand new one is RM350.

anyone interested?

remember if using Bosch LS05 (yes it's universal)... you need to put a new 'bung' to your extractor... coz this is not like ori Toyota O2 where there's a flange instead...:banghead:
good luck...

Kimi Raikkonen got close to Heikki Kovalainen's new lap record set yesterday, but fell short by less than two-tenths of a second with a best lap of 1:11.189s in his Ferrari F2008. Kovalainen was right on the pace again today at the Valencia circuit, lapping just 0.017s slower than the defending world champion...
