RPM Problem

All this while i'm using this car driving on highway no prob ....
but recently i found out whenever i'm stuck in a jam the car the timing will have problem

- that day i stuck in a jam in kl half way in a jam the car once i press on the accelerator my car the rpm will jerk .... like no petrol reach the engine
anyone face this problem b4 ?

Friend,
Try switching off your air-con when your car is idle. I drive a Perdana too. My Rpm stays fine only until I switch the air-con on. Once I switch on the air-con, it fluctuates up and down from 1K to almost zero. I checked with a few mechanics and they say it's related to the stepper Motor in my "Throttle Body unit". Whatever also, get an experienced guy to do a diagnostic check. I'm going to do one this weekend to confirm my problem.

try service ur throttle body..might eliminate the problem..

nah ... throttle body is newbie stuff .... hahahahaha
mine is when i rev to certain level of RPM then the car will tremble !!! like not enough petrol ...
but problem eliminate already thanks !!!!

actually my car problem is like that
- whenever tempreature is hot (traffic jam, sunny afternoon) the car will jerk whenever we accelerate
- it feels like no petrol going in to the engine but pressure on my FPR is ok(3bar)
- it only happens when u step on the pedal then the car fuel pressure goes down
- after check here n there then only find out the fuel pump is faulty
- change fuel pump settle problem

this sickness recovers very fast ... once the pump is cold it'll run normally but when its hot the pressure will decrease

well somehow expected..
the next thing aft tthrotle body is ,fpr and fp..thank god u got it...
i had the same problem..but little different..after start ok for 1-2 minutes.than jerking..
chg fuel pump too..but not b4 goin thru TB and FPR.

but somehow both r jerking..something to do with air/fuel mixture ratio..
this involve all lke FPR,FP,TB and so on..

Just to understand your conversations, what do you mean by FPR & FP. I know TB is Throttle Body....
