One thing u must know about Converted Evo from Lancer CK is that if u never convert 4WD your ride will have tons of trouble later on. Unless your ride is a stock and never plan to mod much coz I hear tons of scary stories with powerfull FF cars running like snake on the road.

For 70K Cash budget Why dont go for Evo 7 or higher, go for loan, pay higher deposit then pay less installment per month. Less trouble coz it's a newer car, less worry coz it's not converted, and less "IF" later on.

But if you are keen on the Evo 4-6 look and dont mind fixin up probs and this Evo will be your 2nd or 3rd car then by all means take your time slowly hunt for one. One thing I would suggest is try to hunt for an Ori Lancer CK or CM then do the conversion your own. At least when converting you know what u have done instead of lettin others do the dirty deed.

yup , 70k cash is definately enough for a converted evo. as what i know now most of the converted evo is 96/XX or 97/XX, cannot get loan already.
I might consider to let go mine's, but i'm from JOHOR , if u're interested can PM/SMS me to discuss..

buy an Ori CK or CM then do conversion by own? if someone had converted the CK or CM to EVO sure know how much they pay , mod + car = now almost can buy an ori EVO , the parts still the same ex or maybe higher than b4 cos nowadays yen is increased.
if not wrong now if buy an evo 6 from chop shop still at least 20-30k i think..

Evo 4 halfcut lowest around 7.5k front only not complete. Evo 5 Complete Around 15k Evo 6 More to 20k. Depends your the one ordering direct or u go thru lots of runners. Convertion job usually 1 - 2k. Extra care to maintain your car like timing belt, clutch, turbo timers, meters, lets put it around 5K. Now most important is how much your gettin your Lancer CK or CM. Lowest I saw people SOLD is RM 35k. Average is 45K. Yes u can get Evo 4 Ori For 50-60K. Evo 5 65-70K And Evo 6 75-95K. But problem is due to the high demand and some buyers are really willing to pay much higher price, lower priced Ori Evo wont be around long b4 people snap it up.

The "JOY" of converting on your own is u can see the whole process, if someone did it, probraly there's a reason they wanna let it go. But there's always a well converted and being offered at bargain price so just take your time to hunt your car. :driver:

any idea of avoiding scratches during car wash. i mean wash on our own la. i had bad experience sending car was be it in service centre or road site car wash.

but even when i wash it on my own, it still cause some fine scratches, especially both my cars are black. so irritating!!!! and now my 1 month old C200 started looks 'ugly' for me....:Not_Impressed:
