Engine idling go nuts

Hi All,

Would like to ask, what is the actual problem if the "yellow in colour" sign appears in the meter panel? The sign just above the oil (look like a teapot) sign.

I've wasted some money on doing tuning, it doesn't work at all.

Problems that I'm currently facing:

1. Engine stall most of the time (Even without air-cond on, idling is not stable, goes up and down 500rpm - 900rpm)
2. Early morning cold start, after 1.5mins start driving, car tend to jerk, then the yellow sigh appeared.
3. Whenever I floor the pedal (sometimes), car performance decreases. Can feel that there is not enough fuel supply to it.


I heard something about sensor, but which sensor should I change? Price?

Please advise.

Bro, apprently this is quite a common prob with Satrias/ Wiras running on Siemens ECU. If I am not mistaken the problem or jerkiness usually comes after the 'teapot' light comes on.

Get your mechanic to clean the throttle body and if that does not work, check the Air Flow Sensor (located just after your air filter). Try it out.

I just asked my mechanic, he says that Air Flow Sensor cost only about RM40 - RM50. Hopefully by replacing that will solve all problem.

i'll bet is throttle body issues.

do cleaning the throttle body and double check the gear of the throttle body are broken if yes just replace it and u done.

or else change to bigger size throttlebody

i think it is the motor in ur UR THROTTLE .when u start the engine idle ,revs up and down like using high cam is it than u have to change the motor.go n check first.its a nirmal problem for proton injetion engine.if its corret just reply me..........

try to use FICD to stablize ur idling...
