Sony Xplod

Hi guys, sorry I'm a newbie here but I just wanted to know if there is any Sony Xplod series speakers. I had gone through auction / online sales websites like www.mudah.com.my but when I read up regarding fakes in the industry which I got no experience in differentiating between ori and imitation, I think it is the best time to ask the question. I had checked up in Sony Malaysia webpage about their ICE speakers and this is what I saw:-

SONY XS-GT6938X (from SONY Malaysia webpage, retail price at RM268) :-

SO what is the difference betwwen these two? They visually look sane, but the auntheticy? How to differentiate between ori and imitation? And where can I get these speakers if there is ori? And, anyone has experience with this Zack Audio?

Someone please reply to this thread, I hope for some enlightenment.

Yes, I saw them in the website too, but I had tried asking around and there is no stock yet from other places like Brothers or Eneos. All are selling the older Xplod (Year 2008*Blue in colour) at the price slightly cheaper than this. Sad... thought of going to Brothers today but seems may gotta delay the plan >.<

Unless anyone can tell me where I can get the latest Xplod speaker?

I think Brothers are giving the best deals for Sony, Kenwood & JVC range of ICE products since they order in bulk. Price is commendable at Brothers but installation sucks big time.

there are also some other good ICE shops that have become major sony dealers, like ACP is SS2 and that uncle's shop in subang jaya, forgot la his name...but he did sony's subaru wrx last time.

Is the Sony Xplod XS-GTX1620S any good if connected to HU direct without an amp? My HU is a Kenwood KDC-X9006U.
