there are just too many parts involved when it comes to gearbox conversion. especially auto to manual with a hydraulic system. too expensive also.

get a manual DA6 manual halfcut and take every manual component there is.

they are optional items from honda and the older generation uses clutch type lsd. do think abt wear and tear especially these old models.

there is nothing wrong if you get the da8 "big vtec" gearbox..the thing is..your engine, ecu, meter cluster are all auto..it takes too much money to convert all those. even if you convert the gearbox, the engine is still auto specification.

here u go. dug this up for u. a very good write up by our fellow member.

http://www.zerotohundred.com/newforums/honda/197010-lsd-things-i-found-out-about-lsd.html

if luck is on your side, u can still get d plug n play, LSD-equipped YS1 tranny for your teg but the price is not as cheap as 5 years ago.

S4C tranny is another option if u dare to spend your bucks for the labor as the conversion from cable to hydraulic clutch system gonna costs u more.

if i were u, i would just use any manual 1st gen vtecs gearbox, enjoy my ride without all the headaches and be happy about it.

go for ys1. less headache. just pnp. if use EK9 gearbox, u will suffer during and after conversion.

easiest way to confirm is to remove both driveshafts and look through the driveshafts holes in the transmission. if you can see straight through its an lsd equiped gearbox.

OR

1. set the parking brake and block the rear wheels.
2. raise the front of the car, and support it with
safety stands in the proper locations.
3. with the engine off, shift the transmission into 1st
gear.
4. rotate either front wheel by hand and check that
the other wheel rotates in the opposite direction.
