I have a cm5a terbalik 4g93t engine and a FWD 4g93 gearbox in the shed.
They will both bolt together
I have a clutch/pressure plate that fits the gearbox
The clutch/pressure plate fits my flywheel
BUT the starter wont reach the flywheel in terms of length and width

What in my setup is wrong. I'm losing my mind lol
Please point me in the right direction. Coz I know this is a really common swap so I don't know what the problem is.

Cheers

You have to write down the following on orders for other ppl to help.

Engine 4g93t terbalik
Transmission from what car/engine
Clutch from what car/engine
Starter from what car/engine

Then there are more information to work on.

Ah sorry mate. Slipped my mind as I had a more detailed thread up earlier about it but it was kinda worded wrong..
Anyway

The engine is the terbalik 4g93t.
Gearbox is the 4g93 non turbo fwd F5M421 F8A7
90% sure the clutch/pressure plate setup is 4g93 as it fits the gearbox sweet as
Strange thing is that the pressure plate fits the flywheel, which would lead me to believe it's a 4g93 flywheel
As for starters lol I've tried 5 now. None have enough throw, plus the flywheel is to narrow to touch the sides of the starter. I'm pretty certain I have a 4g93 starter among all of them

The problem is the flywheel isn't it.. Which one do I need?

Thanks alot mate. It's pretty much the only thing stopping me driving and tuning this car

Err... u're putting CK gearbox onto a 4g93t terbalik engine. Flywheel from what engine??? Because original 4g93t terbalik flywheel is 9.5". If u're putting in a 9" flywheel, then there's npthing to do with the throw. It's the contact itself. Btw, u need to remember, the terbalik engines have pull type clutches. Make sure u're right with it.

Aw yeah the clutch doesn't have me worried really. Got an idea for that
It's the throw AND the contact. The flywheel that's in there has a step. A plate welded on to the back of the flywheel. Hence the throw
I cannot say for sure what the flywheel is. I picked up all the parts and the car when it was 50% converted so it was a bit of a jigsaw really

I've read everywhere that putting the standard non turbo gearbox to the turbo engine is fine? It all bolts up.
I'll go measure my 2 flywheels now bro
One doesn't fit. I daresay it's 9.5"

There u go... the contact area is 9.5". The starter ring should be bigger...

Yeah I knew I needed a bigger one but I wasn't sure which one would work once I added the clutch and pressure plate to the mix.
So the flywheel/clutch and pressure plate will all fit inside my gearbox?
If it's that simple I'll be a very happy man.

Do you know the overall diameter of the Evo 7 flywheel?
I just want to double check the clearance in my bell housing

Into his GSR gearbox? Mine's not a GSR box though. It's a fwd 4g93.
Is there anyone you know that you can tag into this post?
Cheers

Is the Evo 7 flywheel larger or smaller than the Evo 4?
Because I have an E4 in the shed and it doesn't quite... fit

Starter ring already looks maxed out inside it's housing really
Basically I need a 7 bolt flywheel no larger than 288mm that bolts to a clutch with a spline count of 20
What fits the bill there?
I can't find any measurements of the evo 7 flywheel sadly

Just seen that the Evo 7 clutch is 23 spline. So this must only work with the AWD turbo box :/

Any ideas?
I might just take it to a parts dealership and get them to mix and match till they figure it out. Coz there's just too much conflicting information everywhere. Can't be bothered buying 3 or more of the same part but different models..

11.5" is the Diameter right across is it? Don't think the E7 is gonna fit sadly. My Evo 4 clutch and flywheel are no good too.. I could shave the bellhousing a few mm to make it fit but the input spline on the clutch is bigger than the 4g93 one
Fuck lol
