Once again, we are back at our favorite playground, the Sepang International Circuit to bring you the second round of Zerotohundred.com’s TIMETOATTACK 2012. The most obvious fact is that everyone now has a benchmark to chase after; the 02:26.331 set by the talented Ken Yap in his mighty-fast Evonne Evo. Will the record ever be overshadowed by some unique entries this round? Stay tuned as we will get to the results eventually, but for now, let us serve a quick overview of what is now THE best time attack event in Malaysia.

It may be the fasting season coupled with typical Malaysian weather of both rain and shine coming into play, but that was no excuse for the undying enthusiasts to stay under the shades and comforts of their own home and sleep off the whole Sunday. What was interesting is that we had nice cold rain and half bright and sunny split in the morning and the afternoon. The best of both worlds!

2 of the most exciting Jap offerings this year! the Honda CR-Z and Toyota 86

Baby Aston and Overgrown Lambo

The crowd turn-out was nothing short of amazing, which goes the same for the cars, with a very diverse mixture showing up during the open track day. From the track-only, stripped-out mega-horsepowered monsters going all out to the fully-trimmed, daily-driver’s car, all making an appearance at Sepang circuit to experience the most immersive track and show event!

The Conemasters were still very much alive and kicking and swinging around the makeshift course for their International Gymkhana Challenge, and it was never a bore to see some tight maneuvering action by the autocross-ers. Be it the, 4-door sedan Impreza or the slick, 2-door MR-S roadster, all of them gave their best to post their best times proving their fancy footwork and sharp skills.

The MCKEE GTR-ONLY CLASS drag battle had been replaced inn the second round of TIMETOATTACK with a new MCKEE Drag.Info Supercar Showdown! Featuring over 50 of these exotic monsters, the Sepang straights had never been livelier than before with the roar of some raw power coming out from supercars like the 911 GT2, F430 and the Aventador while blasting through the 400m makeshift drag strip.

997 GT3 RS 2 X 2!

And it seems like the straights is where the action happens the most with special appearance of our own Prince of Drift, Tengku Djan Ley, as he puts down a special demo in the all-new critically acclaimed Toyota 86! Displaying his slick driving skills that had earned him a spot in the world stage, the 86 perfectly responds to his inputs, demonstrating the prowess that it had inherited from the classic Hachiroku.

Exotic Mods and Motorsport Playground had also made an exclusive of their latest work. A mirror-finish Chrome R8. Possibly SEA's first and and only example.

But with all these breathtaking side events, did the time attack lost its charms? Not a chance as there is always something new in store as a surprise in every round, which this time comes in the form of twin turbos. Yes, it is none other than the much-awaited McLaren MP4-12C making its way to our home of motorsports. But it was no easy challenge for the McLaren as it still has the line of both hardcore and veteran time attackers to face off with before reaching the top spots in the Hall of Fame.

Nevertheless, the Round 2 of TIMETOATTACK 2012 was a great success, and we would like to extend a great thank you to all the sponsors, participants and mostly the loyal spectators in being a part of making this event a blast. A more detailed and thorough report of Round 2 will follow very soon, so please stay tuned!

Wsukun: we were equally as excited to be honest. Unfortunately the twin turbo gallardo had transmission issues so it was grounded at the pits the whole time

I would like to check, how well is the aftermarket brake for 285mm rotor?
Is it about the same as stock?

my concern is, now my WHP is near 200 and i still using stock brake system.
my wheel is using 4 bot instead of 5, 2nd reason is i using 15" rims.

so if i using 285mm rotor type and branded caliper ( in complete set)
will it help for near 200 WHP? ( example evo, wrx, CTR are above 200hp and yet their stock already more then 320mm)

any recommend complete set brake for 15"
