Rich boy's toy.. For me, a B16 or Mivec would suffice.. now these are SVHR (Super Very High Revving) should Nissan code them. Doesn't get limited to 7000RPM :biggrin:

99% of ALL the cars will fail to be categorised under muscle car if you were to compare the US cars...
True because indeed there are not many of them and most car manufacturers do not want to make such cars! The term muscle cars also came from US cars, right? Anyway non US cars that can be considered muscle cars maybe are those big engine Mercs, like say the AMG C63?

370 cannot be considered muscle cars. Muscle cars need to be big, bulky, heavy, has big engines but power output that can be attained by japanese cars with half the displacement. The 370Z just call short of all these requirements.
Exactly.

Muscle car is a large V8 engine fitted in a 2-door, rear wheel drive, family-style mid-size or full-size car designed for four or more passengers. Sold at an affordable price, muscle cars are intended for mainly street use and occasional drag racing.

For me muscle car is:

1. American;
2. MOPAR or Ford;
3. NA or supercharged;
4. At least V6.

Other than that is either 'import' or 'sport compact'.

Guys, it was stated that the 370z makes 333ps @ 7000RPM, but FYI the stock rev limiter is set at 7600RPM. Try checking out the meter cluster of the Z and you'll notice the redline is actually around 7600RPM mark (looks more like 7500RPM actually). Also to me, I think the reason why the VQ37VHR is called "Very High Revving" is because the powerband is pushed much higher up the rev range, hence the term VHR is given.

Perhaps, the term VHR is more logical if you put into the fact that it is the highest revving "road going" V6 engine made by Nissan... and prolly one of the highest revving V6 engine ever made by any other car makers.

... just my 2 cents =)

Bro, I've returned the keys to Nissan so they have likely passed it on for someone else to write about... But I'm honoured that you were keeping an eye out for me! :p

I was in Dusseldorf, Germany and by chance I bumped into this gorgeous supercar. I was not expecting the French parade to drop by. It was the Dusseldorf Frankreichfest (Dusseldorf French Festival) and there were tons of classic French cars on display, including the famous Renault Turbo 5. (which unfortunately, due to my SD card crash, I've lost all the high quality...
