hello to all sifu,

before this my car is running 0.8 bar boost, and in gear 3, at 4000 rpm, the car will jerk for about 3-5 second before continue to blast. Then I switch back to stock boost controller, running stock boost, the problem still there. It will jerk at 5000 rpm, jerking for about 1 second, then continue to blast.

It that the sign of dying fuel pump? or faulty MAF sensor? how should i start to troubleshoot?

running in on dyno can solve your problem..it could be you coils pack, ecu burn, not enough fuel supply etc..just spend a bit for dyno run (around rm100) then you will see what is your problem...

Its your coil pack. Had the same issue before. Got myself Superspark. Solve problem and a bit extra power.

Update - after I take out my battery and reinstall, this thing happen -

now gear 1-3 all smooth, but gear 4 and 5, start 5000 rpm, the car not jerking, but hesitate to go further. I suspect this must be related to my boost, as the problem decrease as i lower my boost. If coil, shouldnt it will problem throughout the rev?

Testing coilpacks isn't hard but a bit of a hassle on RB25s what more NEOs but it's just intake piping and that NEO cover which stands in your way. But where you located bro? I know someone who can troubleshoot it for you minus the dyno costs. In fact, no reason for anyone to charge just to determine the root cause right? Whatever charges should accompany the solution if you do decide to go with it.

weak coil will also show when u boost up...more boost u will feel more deadspot / misfire....this is due the spark didn't fire up properly due to weak coil...u can't feel surely unless in WOT moment....

The fastest and cheapest way to find out is to take out all six coil pack. Buy silicone paste mixture and covers the clear side of the coil pack with it. Make sure it covers all to ensure no voltage leak.

Fix it back and see if this work. This is only temporary solution. I did my like that. Works like a charm.

Another way is to open the cover and start the engine at nite. Dont turn on the lights. If there is a leak, you would be able to see blue sparks near the coil pack.

Any quick and easy ways to determining if its the wiring harness or the brittle clips as well?

Brittle clip, this not to sure.

Wiring harness. have to use volt meter. Or OBD2 diagnostic check. Never tried it before.

can also be clogged fuel filter..check your coil first before jumping to a aftermarket ones .give your AFM a good clean first with a contact cleaner..remember not wd40!
