alpine 9887 VS pioneer P80

hi bro...i want to buy a new player for my car....the shop suggest me this two model player the price is about RM1700-1900 which one is better?

Depends on your preference. 9887 has better Ipod controls than the P80. But some say the P80 sounds better. I dunno.

I say go find a 2nd hand Clarion HXD2

I say get DVD player with screen....bling bling better than P80 or 9887, if not p80 is better all rounder than 9887.

HXD2 is an old unit....also dont support mp3

I get price 9887 quite expensive go ask two shop only they give me rm1800-_-" another one shop they give rm2150 -_-" after that i buy p80 at rm1600.....

Sorry OT a bit. how about between P80RSII and CDE-117e? I'm struggling between both now. 117E has USB, but P80 doesn't. but heard P80 has good specs. guess we can't find best of both worlds.. unless high end HUs.

Targeting a balance of SQ + SPL, probably skewed towards SPL a little. say 55% SPL, 45% SQ. I know other parts play an important role too i.e. amps, wiring, etc. But for sake of HU's tune ability-built-flexibility, any recommendation and why? Am not into competition stuffs..

i think cd117 more suitable for you...

if serious with SQ then only choose P80, they also dont play from pendrive, all ori cd

i used the alpine 9887...
very clean n clear sound...not warm...eclipse sounds warmer if u r into vocals...
