With Super GT’s two new GT500 players recently revealed, a shakedown session was held at Suzuka Circuit to display its prowess in dominating the race series. But the NSX and LF-CC are not the only ones taking the attention as Nissan also fielded their mighty GT-R to show who the boss is.

Honda chose to base their GT500 racer on a concept model they had yet produced, and the same goes to Lexus with their LF-CC. And with the new regulations implemented in the 2014 series, we will be able to see the real potential of Honda’s mid-mounted 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbo engine paired with an electric motor.
These three Japanese race machines were previewed at the Suzuka Circuit ahead of the fifth round of the 2013 Super GT season. Plenty of footages were obtained showing the Nissan GT-R and Honda NSX making a quick lap around the circuit, while the LF-CC only managed to reach the starting line as it encountered some technical problems.
