Honda Unveils the New NSX-GT Concept for the 2014 Super GT!

The bombshell of the 2014 Super GT not dropping by at Sepang International Circuit might be a bit of a shock for us and the other race fans in Malaysia, but we think that we have find a tiny bit of news to soothe this cruel decision. Introduced in 2010, Honda’s HSV-010 run in Super GT will end next year as the Japanese manufacturer recently revealed the much-awaited NSX-GT Concept!

Being the successor of the legendary NSX that had conquered Super GT years ago, the new NSX-GT Concept will be competing in the GT500 class beginning next year from Round 5, taking place at Suzuka Circuit.

Looking far more aggressive than the NSX Concept Honda has been teasing us all these years, this NSX-GT Concept has been fitted with an elaborate aerokit, transforming it into a proper track machine. The power will come from a mid-mounted, turbocharged, direct-injected four-cylinder engine with some assistance from Honda’s own “Racing Hybrid System”.

Feeling pumped up? Maybe not having Super GT at Sepang next year is not too bad after all as Malaysia will usually be hosting Round 3, and the NSX-GT Concept will only be zooming down the circuit on Round 5 onwards. Now the next question will be; can the new NSX-GT match or even raise the bar set by the original NSX in Super GT?
