By the way, what brakes are you using on Mark X. I saw a few Mark X running around with TOM's brake.
I'm only using the cheapest option, Aristo 4 pot with Project Mu 500deg B Spec pads on 315mm discs (std discs are 296mm).
That TOM's brake are mostly just sticker on Advics 4 pot, can put any stickers. On my Aristo I put "Mark X" stickers.

Aristo 4 pot should be good isn't it? If it is from the JZS161 Aristo with 2JZ-GTE. Almost as good as JZA80 Supra.

Yeah at least good enough for poor blokes like me! Not as good as the Advics from GS300 as that one is monoblock calipers and gives just a tad firmer feel, but the price is a huge difference (more than double), so I took the cheap option. For my car the Aristo one needs a slight mod on the knuckle arm though, while if using the Advics is straight plug & play.

The car will soon be 10 years old. How does it feel? Does it feel.. aged? The internals, dashboard etc. Outlook is definitely modern, moreso than the "new" Perdana.

Quite a significant upgrade jump for the ex owner. From IS250 to S400.

So, is this IS250 from official Lexus Malaysia or recon/grey imported?

The ex owner even retained the Japanese media unit. Most people I think would have swapped out to a local unit.

It is always good to buy a used car from an owner who really cares about the car. I think this is also why buying cars directly from the owner is better than buying it from car dealers. At least you get to know the previous owner and if the owner is good enough, he or she might tell you more about the car's history.

And for good coincidence...he told me everything about the car...he told me that it never been in an accident, never undergo major repairs(engine is so silent), mileage was only 82,000km (considering its 2009 model) & he only used it to go office and comeback only...for others he has another car....

Did he mention anything more specific about the car? Like some cars have a common problem in certain parts and also anywhere to pay extra attention?

Woah, another car. How many cars do you have? First it was CLS350, then E coupe, IS250 and now SX4.

With 4 cars on your hands, you don't even have to worry when you need to send your car for repair.

Since your IS250 is approaching 10 years old soon, you should be more alert with things going on around the car. It is almost at the age where small problems may start to appear. But if the car is well taken care of, I think you don't have to worry about major problems. Just probably some small wear and tear problems due to age.
