CAK on my neo cps causes my steering to vibrate (not too coarse, more to fine) at when reaching 140-160km/h .. is this normal ? anyone experienced similar probs? btw i got mine installed at a random suspension workshop whos installing my Racetech CAK for the 1st time..

Hopefully it was installed properly. If yes then it's likely you have some damaged parts, driveshaft, bent rim or just uneven tyre wear.

have u re-do your alignment setup after the installation...

usually thats the cause because with CAK...the geometry of suspension and mounting point of the suspension slightly shifted...so need alignment and camber re-check for best result

Yes i hope it was installed properly too. The only way to find out is to go to the recommended workshop and get it reinstalled. Yikes, i really hope its not due to damaged parts.. Im using ori oz rims and i dun think it bents easily and uneven tyre wear is unlikely too cuz I recently got camber and toe done, and they even swapped my tyre position to correct the uneven wearing off tyre. How do i know its not the driveshaft ? Could it be that the screw which the CAK was installed to has cracked ?

Yes bro, allignment, balancing , camber and toe adjustment was done right after CAK installation. No doubt the handling is much better, but in a straight drive at that mentioned speed, the steering seems to vibrate.. So its either I get my CAK checked or should i consider stiff rings ?

It's unlikely the CAK that's causing the problem. It realigns your entire subframe/chassis so if it really did cause vibration it wouldn't be at certain speeds only. I highly suspect your driveshaft so be extra careful and get it checked asap.

Mine after installing stiff rings, no problem. Feel my ride more comfortable. Will drop my feedback later...

what was the toe and camber setup did they use?? 0.0 toe with -ve1.0 camber??? i'm worried they induce slight toe in...


or it could be just pure miss-balanced rim....

Agreed, tq very much for the help. Was told that to check if its due to the faulty driveshaft, i have to step off the gas when the steering vibrates. If the vibration dissappears, then its driveshaft related. What kind of workshop should i get it checked at or Proton SC cuz i still have my warranty for now :)

Hmm.. you risk getting your warranty voided with the CAK. But since you're still under warranty you should go back to SC to have it changed. But 50-50 risk here.

u should check the balancing first...then take another look on your driveshaft if the problem still persist.....

after all balancing was a quickie job and not expensive.....and most of the time wheel vibration was wheel related....not to mention tyre buldging@benjol@bengkak....
