Hey guys, any idea where to get hankook tyres in klang valley?

im looking for kind of special sized hankook tyres.

either 175/50/15 or 175/55/15. i understand that there are sizes for this in the hankook optimo range. but seldom see hankook outlets before.. and also not much outlet stock up these 2 sizes.

im hoping someone might have a clue where i can get these tyres, as my tyres are getting bald. need to get them replaced ASAP!

many thanks in advance!

I have seen Hankook sign tyre shop in Old Klang Road, I think is Taman Maju Jaya. Can see from the NPE. Another will be in Puchong, opposite side of Jusco area.
The best solution for you is to call the importers, I think is still Kai Shen Marketing. Ask them which dealer stocks these special tyre, or maybe can get from them if they have.

He is asking for 175/50/R15, special size for Kenari or Kelisa using 15" in replacement for 165/60/R14

the only hankook ive seen for k-kar using 15" would be the V8RS... used it before in my ex-kelisa...and size is 165/50/15....never seen a 175/50/15 hankook before...

so far all i know got 175/50/15 is Goodyear NCT5 and Silverstone Evol8 and Dunlop Formula D01.

the V8RS is quite a decent tire... but i still prefer the Falken Azenis ST115 165/50/15....practically the best tire ive ever used (but i have used that many la)

Yup, I have seen mostly local brand in this 175/50/R15 size also. 165/50/R15 may be a little smaller, but will fit better as if you used an offset 38, 15" rims and on 175/50/R15 sure to hit wheel arch with full load or hard corners

thanks for the feedback guys! very much appreciated!!

anyways, ive called up the kaishen marketing (distributor of hankook tyres in msia)

found out a tyre shop at usj19 (progressive auto) carrying hankook optimo K415 for the size 175/50/15. rm215 per piece!! dam..

im wondering, shld i go for it? anyone tried 175/50/15 bfor?

or shld i stick back to 165/50/15.. been using silverstone evol8 165/50/15.. noisy and bumpy as hell.. cant take it anymore..

im stuck between 165/50/15 and 175/50/15.. if i take 165/50/15 i will go for falken azenis.. but im more worried on the comfort lvl as 165/50/15 on 7JJ rims aint too comfy.

Section height of 165 size is a bit thin. You may be able to have slightly better comfort with 175 size, but depends on the tyre make also.
How about your wheel clearance in the wheel arch. No point going from one problem to another with the wrong tyre change.
If not, you may want to go back to 14"........

thanks for the input bro! :adore:

dont think ill be going back to 14" anytime soon.. recently converted to bbk, my 15" lenso maglite can barely clear it by 1-2mm.. cant use alot of 15" rims due to huge caliper size...

im not too worry about fender clearance as i plan to roll / ketuk my fender. only point worrying is about comfort and a bit of performance.. i feel rm215 per piece of hankook 175/50/15 is abit expensive.. i survey around falken azenis st115 (made in indon) 165/50/15 is only around rm170-180. but worry about the comfort level due to small size..

gonna kill my silverstone evol8 soon. pls pls dont ever get this tyre. use half a year, noise level is so dam annoying, its like driving with no tayar. so loud!!

If comfort is main aim, then 175/50/R15 will be better, but RM215 for Hankook Optimo range seems a bit pricy, as Optimo are the mid range. Anything tyres under the Ventus range for your size?
I have tested only once a local made Japanese design tyre pattern many years ago, and after that I have never used a local tyre anymore .....

sadly no bro. only have 175/50/15 strictly this optimo model only. already called up the main distributor (kai shen marketing sdn bhd).

im highly considering between

Falken Azenis ST115 165/50/15
or
Hankook Optimo 175/50/15

i heard all falken azenis st115 now made from indon.. dont know how good is that?

im so lost!
