We can buy only two grade and disel at gas station.
Regular: 85-92 octane JPY 117/L
Premium: 98-100 octane JPY 125/L
I am using:
Premium for Harley-Davidson and my son's Kawasaki KX85(racing motorcycle).
Regular for Honda STWGN, Mitubishi-i and other motorcycle.

This is what my Japanese friend answered me. I'm still asking him further questions. But from his mail I think that normal cars in Japan are also running on Regular fuel. Only those high performance bike or cars that need to run on Premium.
