Hi,

Wonder if anyone had tried various ecu set-up's for RB26DETT. Has anyone tried and tested in the Apexi d-jetro, and what was the results?

And also stand-alone ecu's such as Motec, Autronics, Haltech etc and how these ecu tend to require a module for tps out for the attesa as the oem ecu is calibrated for a fixed voltage of 0-3.5 V for attesa tps signal. I even read, some tuner (in AU) had managed to run piggy-back Autronic set-ups to minimize issue with the a/c, idling, 4wd etc. Any thoughts or experience?

Cheers.

In many forums elsewhere, there are conflicting and mixed thoughts ... Zth sure would have some expertise in this subject to shed some light on ...

I used HKS V Pro last time and its pretty impressive, but it is on the 350Z instead of R34. After tuning was done, I gain about 20ps on wheels (yes, only installed the ECU) at Dyno and no more fuel/speed cut on it. The best part of a stand a lone ECU is you are able to swap back to your normal ECU anytime you like and your car will still be able to starts and go. Of cause all the power will be lost caused the ori ECU doesn't recon all the new performance parts you had install earlier....You can expect some jerking feeling as well caused the fuel and air ratio are not the same anymore.
Links, Ah Khee, told me before that Motec is capable of being tuned on line and also check is there any problems or any setting need to reprogram over the internet! How truth is it I'm not sure as never used it before caused it is VERY expensive!! Almost 3 times of the HKS V Pro (the model which is capable of tuning over the internet).... You be the one to try and lets us know how is it lah..heee hee heee...

Well, I am not even near interested with F-con V-pro due to it's "selective-allowance" for programmers. No way am I going to deal with such restriction instead rather feed it to the sharks ...

What I am interested is, Motec or Autronics requires a tap in to the existing loom, and the latter even requires new CAS disc, air-temp, coolant temp sensors etc ... But what puzzles is, the tps signal for attesa would be an issues without the oem signal out unless a module is made to deliver the right voltage/signal to the attesa.

I am wondering if any gtr owners had done their's with standalone (encountered, but overcome the 4wd issue), or rather go with the PnP type?

I kinds of heard someone has a 34-gtr running on Autronic SM2 somewhere in zth ...

Wow..wow...PLEASE don't even try PnP ECU!! You will be having more headache than fun after you had installed it...:banghead::banghead: Standalone ECU should be very reliable as many of the GTR had change their ECU into it and seems no problems at all (at least over here in KK I didn't received any complaints for feedback). There might be little minor problems here and there, but don't think is a major issue though...When you meet up with Semperfi in Se Lum Ban, ask him about it, he is having great time with it! :smokin: :smokin: :smokin:

Ya ... PnP and piggy-backs may not get the optimum out of something, although some would argue they have run gtr with apexi d-jetro close to 1k hp's ... My concern is, if anyone encounted any problem or special modules to tackle the attesa tps signal using stand-alone ...

Probably need someone that know the insight or details of the installation rather than pulling out the wallet, or signing the customer copy ... No offence to anyone as some enjoy the tech, while other enjoy the drive more ... :smokin:

well what about standalone ecus like mines, jun etc?i see it for sell rampant everywhere in this forum

isn't the ecu itself programmed for 100 octane fuel in jpn how is it direct plugable into our ecu here in malaysia?

any insight or remarks/comments on this?
