Generally, most roadside car wash operated by foreigners use soap that are unfriendly to the car's paintwork. Being a car enthusiast who cares for the car's paintwork, where do you normally wash your car/cars?

Most of the time I wash them myself, but once a while when lazy I just go to any nearby ones which are the cheapest. Once every 3-4 months then I either do some polish and waxing myself or again bring to any car salon that I can find the cheapest using Fave vouchers.

Not only the soap/shampoo, the soap sponge, the cloth used for drying and so on. Washing method also. If you see them wash from top to bottom and without rinsing the sponge, use back to soap the top, you better not send there.......lol

From my past experiences, a few of the car saloons even use mixture soap and shampoo by charging customers at a premium price. Gosh!! it is challenging indeed to even have a car saloon which uses good shampoo for basic.

I try to do it myself. But when it's too time consuming I send to the BC Detailers (Hikaru Automotive Sdn Bhd) fellas in Sunway. Although they are in Sunway, they aren't crazy expensive.

When I wanna do coating and want the guy to come to me instead I'd recommend the guy from ZTH itself Josh aka @s1tl

What my friend did is very different, he lived in Seremban.

Initially he have been sending his car to few car wash around Seremban doing observation. Then he pick his guy and ask if the guy wants to earn extra during weekend. He pick the most discipline guy whom respect others property and had a tidy job+appearence.

Lastly he will arrange for the guy to come during weekend doing washing + wax. He even sit and watch till the end. All the equipment for the guy to use. He started with KIT and last i check was on Turtle Wax.

Whats my friend like?
His car is super clean, no dust at all. He never smoke in his car. before he get into his car he will sit with both feet out and knock his feet together so debris will fall off whatever shoe/sandals he is wearing. Nothing and i mean nothing else is found in his car. He paint the whole bumper back when it was scratch...a scratch to me was microscopic.

Oh, he did smoke once in his previous car. I cant forget that significant event,will never forget.

More than 5 years ago, he was still owning an Avanza which was 4-5 yo that still got the 'bau kedai' scent. One day we needed to attend a meeting in Shah Alam and he offered me a ride. After we reverse out from his porch and drive away for abt 20m he switch off the aircond and wind down the window. Initially i tot it was too cold as its 0545hrs. I was lost for words and only thing i can think off is 'WTF' when he reach for his cigarette and light it on while i gawk at him. He look at me and said 'eh, pasang le'. I said in N9 dialect 'apo kono kau ni, x sehat ko buang tebiat?'. He replied 'Nak jual dah, bilo laie nak meraso berasap dalam keto'. We laugh and together we 'smoke' the car...hahahah.

Now only i recall what he gave to the guy he paid to clean his car;
1.Car wash - Turtle wax.
2.Plastic shine - previously unknown brand and now Armor All (most probably).
3.Tire shine - unknown.
4.Leather care - Turtle wax platinum.
