Hi bro.. Mine is a Hondata s300 bundled Ecu. Bought brand new from authorised Hondata dealer It is still basically a obd1 ecu brand new equipped with the s300 fitted all by Hondata themselves. So am I affected?
Yes, just repaired one yesterday.... Caps leaks and also Ic17 spoiled. (PO8 with S300J)...
Just have a check inside.... If they have changed all the caps before hondata-ing it then you should be
Ok...

IMO it is not a brand new ECU. It is a used ECU fitted with Hondata. A brand new OBD1 ECU will cost you more than RM5k...
s300 comes with one new cap 220uF 35V, as it is recommended by Hondata to replace it. So i think yours only have one cap replaced. I'm doubt the dealer will change the rest for you as it will incurs addition cost to them.

good morning e-tech
i'm Luis Coello alias luigihn. I have a couple of damaged ECU.

1) p72. worked on the map sensor connected by soldering with a soldering iron to the battery of the car and does not exceed 3000 rpm and check on but you can get the code.
replace all cap and q31 and continues with the problem

2) p28 whit Hondata s300 indicates the code 4
replace all cap and HIC1,HIC2 and nothing

3) p06 works only three pistons does not check
change and QM1 and QM2 and all cap. and nothing

4) p06 converted to p28 the ignition on to check on and does not read any code, fuel pump relay off

pdta.
sorry for my English is not very good I speak Spanish.
thanks for the help

yes QM3 replaced..

car wont start CEL wont go off

no fuel pump ON
hi e-tech

i've faced the same problem, it is P27 chipped ecu
1. all cap replaced
2. ic17 (ta8903) replaced
3. qm3 (STA413) replaced
4. all trace are OK (no have broken trace cause from Cap leak)
5. cleaned board

note!
- if short J1 (use external rom), the main relay NOT clicked with cell code 6, 8,... and engine couldn't start. (i've already replaced several rom)

- if remove J1, the fuel pump primed like normal, engine could start but got solid cell

appreciated your advise :proud:

if remove J1, there is solid (no error code) the CEL won't go off but the main relay was clicked after 2 sec like normal.
i run p27 on D16Y sohc (non-vtec)

Im using Wira 1.6 and changed the front & rear abs to gas shocks. My tyre setup is 195/60/15 for front & 195/65/15 for the rear.

My question is...
1.Will using different tyre size effect my handling?

2.The shop wants to cut my standard front spring about 1-2 inch to make it look lower,is this advisable?

3.What are my other option to make my front end lower?
