This review is long overdue, and I apologize in advance to Goodyear Malaysia. You see, some months back, I received a set of Goodyear Eagle EfficientGrip tyres which were put to test on my regular daily driver, a Civic FD1. My daily commute is a lengthy one, averaging 100-120km on a regular weekday. Given Goodyear’s claim of EfficientGrip being their quietest tyre, it was interesting to see just how they would perform.
The item for discussion today will be about airless tires, NPTs (Non-pneumatic tyre), which may be coming to consumers sooner than expected – hows about sometime in the year 2014 (not a type-o).

Admittedly, we’re a tad sad to have heard that the BMW’s M3 GT will be retiring after four years of serious service, having won the it’s GT Class title in 2010 and 2011 at the American Le Mans Series (ALMS). A small Italian upstart firm has entered the fray as a supercar maker over the last year, going up against the likes of supercar coach builders of Koenigsegg, Pagani, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Maserati, Bugatti and McLaren; only the company is controlled by Luca Mazzanti and is aptly named Mazzanti Automobili with their Evantra model; equipped with a V8 that’ll dish out 701bhp at 6,600rpm and 848Nm of torque at 4,500rpm – allowing it to dash to 100kmh in the same time as the McLaren F1′s 3.2 seconds.
Radical as it is, the Nissan DeltaWing is undoubtedly a far cry from anything conventional – shaped like a delta wing (hence its name) and as we approach the end of 2012, many of us will tend to look back upon our deeds for the year and take stock of what has been achieved; as Nissan has done so, and with pride might we add.
