And we’re all car fans here, so the chances of any one of us having a nice car is quite high, meaning you could probably go out there and get hooked up with one or two nice girls, have some fun and get our horninest rating up to first place. PROTON’s Persona has been named Best Model of the Year for Malaysia in the 2008 Frost & Sullivan ASEAN Automotive Awards.

Launched in August last year, Persona is the fifth model fully built by PROTON and has fast become one of the best sellers in the PROTON stable.

The latest BBC’s Top Gear aired on Sunday last week (UK time) casts doubt upon the notion that a hybrid car would be the most fuel efficient in every circumstances.

Clarkson chose the most extreme examples to make the point — a sedan equipped with a V-8 engine producing 414 horsepower against the Toyota Prius with its 76 horsepower hybrid motor. The EPA rates the BMW at 14 miles per gallon in the city, and 20 on the highway which compares unfavorably to the 48 and 45 figures for the Prius. Read more
