Maserati to Come Out with a LaFerrari-Based Supercar?

Soon after Ferrari launched their limited-run Enzo back in 2002, it did not take long for Maserati to show interest towards the massive V12 monster and use it as a base to develop their own MC12. Ferrari F12 Berlinetta Officially Bows in Malaysia (RM1,288,800 – Tax Free)

Well folks, it’s finally reached us, the Ferrari F12 berlinetta has made its way to Malaysian shores and looking ever so delectable, almost as if screaming out to be driven instead of admired and its technical specifications simply doubles that temptation with a 8,700rpm red-lining V12 that’s good for 740bhp at 8,250rpm, mid-mounted up front and hidden by what seems to be an overly-vented hood and producing 690Nm of torque at 6,000rpm (552Nm already available at 2,500rpm), that’s all sent to the rear wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Driven: Ferrari Four – fastest four-seater in the world with 660PS/683Nm!

When Ferrari first announced the 612 Scaglietti’s replacement, I must admit I was a little miffed. The 612 Scaglietti wasn’t the slinkiest of cars, but when I saw press images of the FF (Ferrari Four – four seats, four wheel drive), I was taken aback by the successor’s shooting brake concept. While its looks will no doubt divide opinion, you’ve got to admit that Ferrari has discovered a niche within a niche – just have a look at Mercedes and Jaguar who’ve both come up with their respective shooting brakes variants.
