It no longer is a secret, now that the upcoming 2014 AUDI A4 (built on the B9 platform), will be dropping roughly 100kg of weight thanks to the use of new aluminium and magnesium parts and will even have 5 engine options to choose from, including a plug-in hybrid variant.

Audi’s Hybrid Racer Takes the Win in the 12 Hours of Sebring!

Audi’s mighty hybrid race machine, the R18 e-tron Quattro continues to pave its way to the top of the ranks as it added another victory under its belt for endurance racing, after winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2012. Their 11th win is also a special mark to celebrate as it is the first hybrid car to have ever won the 12 Hours of Sebring.

Toyota and Audi to Battle It Out on this Year’s Le Mans 24 Hours!

While the debut of Toyota’s TS030 at last year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans did not go well as expected, being plagued by mechanical difficulties and a major crash, they did prove that Audi now has a new and strong competitor to keep an eye on during endurance racing. During the 2012 Season of the FIA World Endurance Championship, the TS030 snatched a couple of victories that on some occasion really startled the Four Rings.
The Audi R8 e-Tron To Get A Second Chance?

If you have yet to hear the latest news about the electrifying R8 e-Tron, this promising electric supercar project from Audi was put on hold and put under review. Due to the high battery costs and the performance when compared to an existing yet less expensive electric car like Tesla’s Model S sedan, Audi’s newly-appointed head of R&D Wolfgang Durheimer decided to put the project on hold for the time being.

Right after the excitement of Zerotohundred‘s very own TTA#3, we headed back to Sepang, having been invited by Audi for their Driving Experience 2012. The event spanned four days with participation strictly invite-only, spread between Audi’s customers and select members of the media. And laid out on track for us to test were some of Ingolstadt’s finest: a fleet of S6, S7, and S8 along with an R8GT, R8GT Spider and TT-RS pace cars.
