Gran Turismo 5 Postponed Again?
October 9, 2009

I’m not too sure if building one of the most impressive racing simulators of all time is just incredibly difficult, or the guys at Polyphony Digital are just messing with us, but for some reason, the release date of the very highly anticipated Gran Turismo 5 has once again been postponed. The rumoured release dates have varied from 2009, late December 2009, to December 29, and March 2010 Japan release.
The constant delay could just be a heartless marketing campaign to keep GT5 in the news but five years on and an all-new gaming console is long enough to wait for the answer to GT4. So we’re saying, enough fooling around and release it already. How hard is that?? Read more
Need For Speed: Shift – New Battle Mode Promises Hours of Competitive Fun
September 13, 2009
The new Need for Speed: Shift has added a new mode to make battles among friends all the more interesting and to settle “which car is better” disputes. The new mode in hand is the Car Battle mode that pits some of the fastest, fittest, downright nastiest machinery out there in head to head battles. So far fifteen different matchups are possible with cars like the Ford GT going against the Dodge Viper, Cayman against the M3, as well as such exotics as the Murcielago and Aston Martin DBRS GT cars. The point of the game is to pit stock standard, unmodified cars against each other to find out which car and which driver is the best. The game is due out next week and meanwhile you can check out the teaser video above. Read more
Gran Turismo 5 Gets Its Damage Rendering On
August 20, 2009
Gran Turismo fans rejoice, the latest GT5 with damage rendering is finally on the way and it looks good. The video above shows a Subaru STI getting smacked against all the curbs and walls; with damage control, the STI stands no chance against the elements of a race track.
There are just two things that baffle me though, how come it took so long for Gran Turismo to come up with this feature considering Forza has had damage control rendering since version 2? And how come only the Subaru gets all banged up and the other car that crashed into it looks just fine? Still in it’s conceptual stage perhaps? We’re definately hoping not considering it has taken long enough for Gran Turismo to come out of the Prologue version, we have been kept waiting long enough. Read more
